Melisa Kamibayashi

Grace

Melisa started acting over 25 years ago on stage and screen. But stopped when the only roles offered were the side-kick or the stereotyped generic Asian. She instead turned to hosting and producing a Japanese community tv show to give a voice to our stories and achievements. She also spent over a decade performing taiko in Japan and Canada. Lately, she has made a gradual return to acting with Theatre Wakefield and Marginally Fit Productions ranging from Shakespeare to existential work on Asian identity.
